CD-ROM Site License Agreement
This is a contract between you and Software Made Simple. By using the software on this CD-ROM you accept all the terms and conditions of this agreement.
If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of this agreement, return the CD-ROM to Software Made Simple at the address below within 30 days for a refund excluding postage and packing costs.
The Software Made Simple CD-ROM is sold as an annually renewable site license. For the period of the license Software Made Simple permit the purchasing institution to do the following:
Install any of the products on the CD-ROM on to the purchasing institutions computer systems for access by staff and students via it's intranet or by authorised dial-up.
Print and sell/distribute as many printed copies of the Acrobat based guides as it requires to the students and staff of the purchasing institution.
Allow it's staff and students to make copies of the Acrobat based guides for personal use only.
Install any of the products on the Software Made Simple CD-ROM on to a CD-ROM for distribution to registered students and staff.
Add pages to, or delete pages from, the Acrobat based guides, though the Imprint page must be retained.
With the exception of authorised dialup, the license does not permit the institution to make any product on the CD-ROM available via the Internet.
On expiry of the license, and unless renewal has been agreed, the purchasing institution undertakes to remove all Software Made Simple products (including those which have been customised) from it's computer systems and cease distribution of the products on software distribution CD-ROMs and in printed form.
In the event of breach of this agreement Software Made Simple reserve the right to order the removal of all of all Software Made Simple products (including those which have been customised) from it's computer systems, and those of authorised third parties, and cease distribution of the products on software distribution CD-ROMs.
The information on this CD-ROM is distributed on an 'as is' basis without warranty. While every precaution has been taken in the preparation of this product, neither the authors nor Software Made Simple, shall have any liability to any person or entity with respect to any loss or damage caused by or alleged to be caused directly or indirectly by the instructions contained in this product.
Any dispute arising between Software Made Simple and the purchasing institution shall be construed under the laws of the United Kingdom.
Definitions for the purpose of this license:
The term site license refers to any computer system owned by the institution within a 10 mile (13km) radius.
The term Intranet refers to a network of computers owned/managed by the institution with controlled access by it's staff and students.
The term Authorised dialup refers to remote access by a user who is known to the purchasing institution, and who's access to the institutions computer systems is controlled by the institution.
